This fundraiser is a relief effort to support the city of Marathon in the Florida Keys. For most it is Florida's own little slice of paradise but for my family it is much more than that, it is their home. Marathon holds countless memories, family events, family businesses, teachers, fisherman, and much more. Irma has left them with a disaster, many people have lost everything. Homes are submerged underwater and what was left inside is ruined. We are asking for donations to help rebuild this wonderful town. All monies will be donated to the Marathon Elks Lodge #2139 which my Aunt, Rose Lavay holds Secretary at this location and is one of the many whose home is 4 feet deep in water from the storm. Our hearts break for everyone that calls Marathon their home and we will do whatever we can to get it back to normal for them. Right now our goal is $10,000.00 we are hoping to raise that and more but any little bit will help in this severe time of need.
